Lord Iberius was the founder and first ruler of the Kingdom of Lusitania. He had a very long lifespan and reigned through all of the empire until his murder. He was said to be great warrior, tactician and even engineer, having been skilled in many crafts. He lost his abilities with age, though, and some said his death came in good time for he was beginning to lose his senses. He was murdered by one of his Knights, and OSS's High-Council Member, Lancelot.
Biography
Coming to Lusitania
Except for the last 50 years, there are almost no records of the Kingdom's history, and most of what is known prior to that are mostly stories passed on through father to son.
It is said that a man had arrived, unlike all others, by boat on the shores of what is currently East Britain. This man was Iberius and he was found almost dead, having passed out after days deprived of food and water. He was brought into town and taken care of, and after a couple of days he woke up, but recalled nothing of his journey nor his past.
Soon, he found out that most people on what would become Lusitania weren't natives to the realm, and were instead somehow transported through different realms over the last centuries. People had appeared all over the world, and most banded together until they finally decided to settle in what is currently the old part of Britain, on the east of the river. There were others, though, that never knew the original citizens of Britain and those who chose to leave over personal reasons. Trinsic is such a town, founded by another tribe.
At that time they had no real organization and had hardly began exploring the world outside, in part in fear of monsters they believed to have been seen over the city's natural borders. Iberius quickly realized that they had no defenses and most were simple people with no martial training, which he unknowingly had. He began to assume a leadership role and had the people fortify their homes with better wood and bricks, and began training some men in warfare.
King Iberius and the founding of Cove
In the next years the city evolved with an active community having many kinds of craftsmanship, and Iberius was chosen as their official leader — their King. A great castle was built in his honor between both parts of the city, on an island situated in the natural lake where the river ended, and there he named their kingdom Lusitania. He started, then, to plan their expansion in the world, since they had a considerable military force. A party was sent to the West and another to the Northeast and would be the beginning of major breakthroughs to the Kingdom. In the West they found the city of Yew, populated by the Elves, an intelligent, benevolent and humanoid race, while the other party eventually made way to what would become the first colony in Cove. This, however, also revealed strange and terrifying monsters, and while most were no more intelligent than a small child others were indeed very smart, and this revealed the human presence in the world to some of them, like the brutish Orcs.
Alliance with Trinsic
Years after, Trinsic was found. It was great city, completely fortified, built by another kingdom which unfortunatly found itself consistently at war with almost every kind of beast known to humanity, being the Orcs the worst due to their intelligence. Iberius, fearing the Orcs, and knowing that they probably never attacked Britain possibly due to a belief that all humans came from Trinsic, expected that sooner or later his cities would be found. He proposed an alliance with Trinsic, which they accepted, in hopes they could help him, with their knowledge and military experience, in the defense of his own Kingdom. In this time an Abbey was build in Yew as a means to join both cultures of Man and Elf, and were sent men and women devoted to the virtues, as a way to show the best of humanity.
The founding of Minoc and Vesper
The following years were hard on both the Kingdom and King, since many friends of Iberius had got old, while he didn't, and those who didn't died in war were dying of old age, and this changed a chapter in his life, since he was beginning to feel his role as an obligation more than ever, but also felt his people as his sons which relieved him sometimes. Both Trinsic and Cove were consistently under siege by the Orcs, but Britain was hardly attacked except by the occasional wandering aberration or bandits, humans who chose not to live under the Kingdom's banners. Most monks and paladins in Yew also reported no Orc attacks.
With the increase of demand for iron and other metals for both home commodities and war, Minoc became the second colony to be founded. It's purpose was to fuel Cove's need for metal and to support the development of Vesper, a swamp rich in oil which was progressively made habitable, becoming the third colony of the Kingdom.
Trinsic of Lusitania
Somewhere after the establishment of Minoc, Trinsic's King died in battle and the city was offered to merge with the Kingdom of Lusitania which Iberius accepted.
The Order of the Silver Serpent and the new castle

With the ever expanding Kingdom and its population proportionally growing, the number of bandits and those opposing the King also grew. The most prominent of these are the Chaos Scorpions whose secret agenda not even their members probably ever knew, with the exception of the Inner Circle, certainly passed through the disbandment or destruction of Lusitania. To face such menaces Lord Iberius founded the Order of the Silver Serpent.
With most of the realm populated by humanity under the banner of the Kingdom of Lusitania, it was decided that a bigger castle should be built to commemorate such an achievement. The new castle would be bigger, with a large ball room and many chambers for those more close to the King to reside. The course of the river was modified so it would circle around the new castle and it would be big enough to accommodate a lot of the city's population in case of need.
The old castle was then given to the Order of the Silver Serpent as their base of operations.
The coming of the Silent Wave and Death
See main article: Silent Wave
With the invasion of the undead legions and humanity facing the threat of extinction (along with all other living beings), Lord Iberius went to Vesper in its defense, but along the way they were ambushed by Orcs and in the chaos of the event he was betrayed by Lancelot who killed him and fled.
Trivia
Iberius had the axe as his favored weapon, for he said it was most useful in both war and building houses. He was known for being a very practical man.
